Well, this weather is really posing more of a flooding problem than a snow problem. Ugh! Traveling to class was difficult in several inches of slush. It could have been worse, though. This storm unleased an onslaught of tornados in the Midwest, killing 14 people. The violent nature of this storm is illlustrated by the tight configuration of isobars on the surface map below. Also, it appears as if there is some more moisture over the rockies, so we could potentially be getting more precipitation in the near future. The coutner clockwise nature of this precipitation indicates another low pressure system. Regardless, we will most likely see cloudy skies, as the entire center of the county is submersed in a large low pressure system.
