Well, my prediction about today's weather proved true. With a high of 44 degrees, today's weather was quite warm for this time of year. As Joel mentioned in class, this stable weather pattern could very well be attributed to the pocket of low pressure over midwest. The wind speed was higher than yesterday, with winds coming out of the northwest at 13 miles per hour. In class, we observed stratocumulus clouds that appeared to be bending towards the north, indicating a possibility of precipitation. For tomorrow, I predict the weather to be slightly colder but otherwise similar to today.

Monday: The First Weather Report

Since this is my first post, I must admit that I really don't know what I'm doing at this point. I'll give it my best shot, though. I first took note of the weather upon my walk to campus at 8:00 a.m. At this point, it was still below freezing. However, the temperatures increased to about 38 degrees later in the day. From my observations, the sky remained clear throughout most of the day. Unfortunately, I did not take note of the wind direction, but I did notice that the wind speed was rather minimal.  There was zero precipitation. For tomorrow, I predict that conditions will be nearly the same, but perhaps a little warmer.
